Alright nothing much happened recently la. But yesterday after church met Ivian at Orchard for shopping! hohoho, because today's a holiday! hohoho. And we went to eat Haagen Daz! hohoho. Courtesy of my sister ya. And Belgian Chocolate and Rum and Raisin is just so nice. haha. And I'm so happy that today's a holiday! Means no Monday blues. (:
Okay, I was surfing through my church's website searching through songs to keep me through the week. And I stumbled (well, I believe it wasn't a coincidence, lol) upon this song, The Love of God. Here it goes.
The love of God is greater far, Than tongue or pen could ever tell. It goes beyond the highest star And reaches to the lowest hell. The guilty pair bowed down with care God gave His Son to win His erring child He reconciled And pardoned from his sin. Love of God, how rich, how pure How measureless and strong It shall forevermore endure The saints' and angels' song
Could we with ink the ocean fill And were the skies the parchment made Were every stalk on earth a quill And every man a scribe by trade
To write the Love of God above Would drain the ocean completely dry Nor could the scroll contain the whole Though stretched from sky to sky.
O Love of God, how rich, how pure How measureless and strong It shall forevermore endure The saints' & angels' son
I used to like this song a lot, especially during the period after my Christocamp. Well, and some of my churchmates are going through it. haha. Yeah, why I like this song is because it actually reminds me how God's love cannot be comprehend, cannot be fathom with mere human minds. Because it so rich, so pure, so measureless, so strong. And therefore, no one can understand, a King dying for slaves. Can you? I can't. No one can ever understand God's grace for condemned sinners, or why would He does that, if ever we think logically. No one. It brings me to understand my position. Probably due to business of life and I forget this song. I like how the writer describes God's love. Like, the love of God, can never be describe using mere human words, and even if it can be written, even if every men on earth is a scribe, even if the sky were to be the scroll, even if the ocean were to be the ink, even if every stalk on earth a quill, it's never enough to contain. Who can fathom the depth of His love? May He bring me back to perspective.
WELCOME ♥
Hi, thank you for visiting this humble space of mine. I don't blog as often as I used to because I no longer find any value in blogging daily affairs, although reminiscing the past is important because it's the past that made who I am today. But I will make use of other platforms. I would pop by here if I find any thought-provoking matters or current affairs that are worthy for me to pen my thoughts.
